On February 21, GGI, Turkish Aikikai Aikido, and the Consulate General of Japan in Istanbul hosted a GGA seminar at Swissôtel The Bosphorus. Approximately 30 women from the Istanbul area participated in the 60-minute free seminar, which was conducted by female Aikido instructors provided by Turkish Aikikai Aikido. Participants, dressed in official white GGA t-shirts provided at no cost, enthusiastically learned fundamental skills and techniques to help defend themselves in public spaces.
