Guardian Girls Judo Pilot Project Launches in Abu Dhabi, UAE

In collaboration with Guardian Girls International (GGI), the International Judo Federation (IJF) has organized the new Guardian Girls Judo (GGJ) pilot project at Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. GGI CEO Shin Koyamada attended the event, coinciding with the World Judo Championships hosted by the IJF and UAE Judo Federation.

At the GGJ Seminar, Ms. Larisa Kiss, IJF's International Relations Director, welcomed distinguished guests, female instructors, and participants. Key speakers included Mr. Watanabe, interim Japanese Ambassador to the UAE; Mr. Shin Koyamada, CEO of GGI; Ms. Salima Souakri, Algeria's Secretary of State for Youth and Sports and IJF's Commissioner of the Gender Equality Commission; and Ms. Sanda Čorak, Chair of the IJF Gender Equality Commission and President of the Croatian Judo Federation.

Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi is a French and English-speaking institution established on October 7, 2006, in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. The university is affiliated with the French Sorbonne University (formerly Paris-Sorbonne University, Paris IV) in France.
