Signing MOU between KIF and UNFPA as Strategic Partners

In New York, Ms. Nia Lyte, Co-Founder and President of the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF) and Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a Strategic Partner at the UNFPA's Global Headquarters on December 16, 2019. KIF Chairman Shin Koyamada, UNFPA Chief Strategic Partner Mariarosa Cutillo and others were in attendance of the signing ceremony.

KIF and UNFPA will cooperate in various activities, including to develop gender-based violence prevention interventions such as a self-defense program for underprivileged girls and women to promote gender equality and women's empowerment. As a strategic partner, KIF and UNFPA will develop Guardian Girls program, which was initially created by KIF, to benefit vulnerable girls and women around the world utilizing global resources of both organizations.
