United Nations University

In December 2024, GGI and the United Nations University (UNU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly host international conferences that address and promote gender equality and the prevention of violence against women and girls through the new global initiative. The United Nations University is the research and academic arm of the United Nations, headquartered in Tokyo. It conducts global research, offers postgraduate education, and provides policy advice to support the UN’s work on issues such as peace, sustainability, gender equality, and development. UNU connects scholars, governments, and UN agencies by generating knowledge that informs international policy and helps address global challenges.
