Guardian Girls Aikido (GGA) project featured nationwide on NOW TV in Istanbul, Türkiye 🇹🇷
Guardian Girls Aikido (GGA) is a global gender-based violence prevention initiative launched by Guardian Girls International (GGI) in collaboration with the International Aikido Federation (IAF) in 2024. The project was initially launched in February in Bogotá, Colombia, with Japan being the second country to implement it. In Japan, a seminar was held by KIF Japan and TELL Japan at the Seisen International School in Tokyo, where over 40 women participants were empowered and benefited from the event. Since 2019, Guardian Girls projects have been introduced in 15 countries worldwide.

Guardian Girls Aikido (GGA) is a global project aimed at addressing gender-based violence, administered and launched by Guardian Girls International (GGI) in collaboration with the International Aikido Federation (IAF) in 2024. The project was launched on February 14, 2024, at the Official Residence of the Japanese Ambassador to Colombia, Masahiro Takasugi, in Bogotá, with KIF Colombia, UNFPA Colombia, the Embassy of Japan in Colombia, and the Colombia Aikido Federation as hosts.

Notable attendees included Japanese Ambassador to Colombia Masahiro Takasugi; Ms. Nia Lyte, President of KIF Colombia and Guardian Girls International; Mr. Camilo Misael Iguaran Campo, Colombia's Vice Minister of Sports; Mr. Luis Mora, UNFPA Colombia Country Representative; Mr. Wilko Vriesman, Chairman of the International Aikido Federation (IAF); Mr. Abraham Builes Mesa, President of the Colombia Aikido Federation; and Mr. Roberto Vélez Vallejo, Former CEO of the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC).

Subsequently, on February 15, the GGA Seminar took place at The Japan Center, University of the Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, with over 50 local Colombian women participating. They were instructed by Guardian Girls Aikido chief instructor Luz Angélica Jiménez (3rd Degree Black Belt in Aikido) and her assistant instructors Carolina Céspedes Quiroz (3rd Degree), Sandra Lugo (2nd Degree), and Andrea Jimenez Guerrero (3rd Degree).

2023 Guardian Girls Karate Highlights
Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), World Karate Federation (WKF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have presented the Guardian Girls Karate's Self-Defense Seminar at Bayside Live Hall in Fukuoka, Japan, in collaborations with implementing partners such as Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) and KIF Japan. Dozens of local Japanese girls gathered from the city have been benefited from the self-defense seminar taught by Ms. Amy Connell, WKF Instructor and Guardian Girls Karate Instructor from Scotland and Ms. Yumi Hasewaga, Japan Karatedo Federation Instructor locally from Japan.

On June 9th and 10th, the Guardian Girls Karate was newly launched by the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), World Karate Federation (WKF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)in Fukuoka Japan. On 9th, the Guardian Girls Karate Reception was hosted at the American Consulate Fukuoka's American Center in collaborations with Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF), KIF Japan and UNFPA Japan. In the following day, the Guardian Girls Karate's self-defense seminar was organized locally to benefit dozens of Japanese girls who learned about the project and were empowered through the training in Fukuoka, Japan.
