Guardian Girls Karate Empowers Japanese Girls 🇯🇵
Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), World Karate Federation (WKF) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have presented the Guardian Girls Karate's Self-Defense Seminar at Bayside Live Hall in Fukuoka, Japan, in collaborations with implementing partners such as Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) and KIF Japan. Dozens of local Japanese girls gathered from the city have been benefited from the self-defense seminar taught by Ms. Amy Connell, WKF Instructor and Guardian Girls Karate Instructor from Scotland and Ms. Yumi Hasewaga, Japan Karatedo Federation Instructor locally from Japan.
At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Sho Asai, Executive Director of KIF Japan welcomed everyone as an emcee of the event, followed by the warm greetings of organizers such as Mr. Takashi Sasakawa of Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) Presiden, Mr. Shin Koyamada and Ms. Nia Lyte of KIF Global's co-founders, Mr. Toshihisa Nagura of WKF Secretary General and Ms. Kiyou Shimizu of the Olympic Silver Medalist. The participating girls were so enthusiastic about receiving wonderful messages from the speakers.
WKF Instructor Amy Connell headed the women’s self-defence seminar in Fukuoka with the cooperation of Assistant Instructor Yumi Hasewaga. A group of young women from the Fukuoka area participated in the seminar. Olympic Games silver medallist Kiyou Shimizu also attended the event.
