GUARDIAN GIRLS COLOMBIA
SUMMARY

Guardian Girls Colombia is the official national committee of Guardian Girls International (GGI) in Colombia, which is administered by KIF Colombia, a registered Colombian nonprofit organization in Bogotá. It serves as the national coordinating body responsible for supporting, promoting, and facilitating all Guardian Girls projects, partnerships, and member activities across the country. The committee is led by a National President and managed by a National Secretary-General, ensuring effective coordination and alignment with GGI’s global mission and standards.
In Colombia, Guardian Girls Colombia (GGC) was first launched with the Guardian Girls Aikido (GGA) project in February 2024 at the Official Residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Colombia. Since then, GGC has organized several one-day GGA seminars, as well as a six-month GGA Academy in Bogotá, empowering and safeguarding hundreds of women in the Bogotá area through practical training and community-based programs.
2025
In October 2025, GGI/GGC partnered with the Ministry of Sport of Colombia, marking the first national ministerial partnership with GGI. Through this collaboration, the Guardian Girls Academy was launched in three major cities—Bogotá, Cali, and Barranquilla—where programs were implemented weekly over a two-month period. The Minister of Sport hosted the official launch reception at the Ministry’s headquarters in Bogotá. GGC coordinated closely with its national implementing organizations, including the Colombia Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Colombia Judo Federation, and Sumikiri Aikido Organization. Certified female instructors from these federations delivered the Guardian Girls Ju-Jitsu, Judo, and Aikido curricula across the three cities, reaching hundreds of additional women participants with no martial arts background and empowering them with practical skills, knowledge, and confidence. All graduates were awarded certificates. This initiative represents a significant milestone, making Colombia the first country where a national committee has partnered with multiple sports federations to implement a nationwide, multi-discipline Guardian Girls Academy.
